Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Extrudely collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash), plus passkeys and two-factor settings if you turn them on.
• Your designs: design names, descriptions, OpenSCAD code, versions, generated model files, thumbnails, your conversations with the design assistant, and any reference images or PDFs you upload.
• AI settings: your chosen provider, model, and API key. Keys are encrypted before they’re stored and are never shown back to you or anyone else.
• Billing details: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep your Stripe customer ID, your plan, and the card brand and last four digits.
• Preferences: settings such as theme, printer, and preview color are stored in cookies or your browser’s local storage.

How we use it

• To run the service: create, save, and render your designs.
• To process payments and manage your plan.
• To send account emails, such as email verification and password resets.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Your AI provider: when you use the design assistant, your messages, reference files, design code, and rendered previews are sent to the provider you chose, under their privacy policy.
• Stripe: to process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Other makers: only for designs you choose to share to the marketplace, along with your name as the creator.
• Service providers that host the service and send email for us, and authorities where the law requires it.

Your choices

• Download any design, or delete it from your library. Deleted designs, with their files and chat, are permanently removed after 30 days.
• Stop sharing a design at any time.
• Remove your API key from AI settings.
• Delete your account from your profile settings, which removes your account and designs.
